17 February is a very prominent day astrologically. In Chinese astrology, this New Moon in Aquarius symbolizes the New Year. This year, the new Moon is very late in Aquarius, just one day before the Sun moves into Pisces on the 18th Feb. The energy of this year, being a ONE year (2026 adds up to 1) pushing us into new chapters, fresh starts, and the Fire Horse energy enhances the qualities of fast, feisty, and courageously galloping in.
With both Saturn and Neptune meeting at 0` degrees of Aries, this feels like it is time now to take action.
The partial solar eclipse pushes us to look deeper at the imbalances between our daily rhythm and our dreams (Pisces/Virgo), as the nodes prepare to move into Aquarius and Leo in August this year. The South Node conjunct Venus shines light on the imbalances around values and highlights topics related to women, money, love ,and other areas that may be out of balance and brought to light.
The square from Uranus to the sun and Moon highlights the tension and the need for change. The next two months will be a pertinent time to consciously work with these areas that need change so that when Uranus moves into Gemini at the end of April, we are ready for the new energy that is surging in.
2025 was hard, and it felt like we were pushing through mud, every step forward resulted in a step or two back as we were forced to face the areas we may still be resisting. 2026 feels fast, maybe a little too fast, leaving us behind as we still try to focus and find our footing in how to step forward. The Fire Horse symbolizes action, speed, and momentum. We need to act boldly and courageously and try not to lose ourselves in the flurry of change that seems to be rushing in.
