The days are just speeding into a blur as we head towards the Sagittarius season of festivities and overindulging.
The New Moon in Sagittarius is on the 1st of December starting the waxing period with setting a Sagittarius-themed intention which feels like focussing on what we have been working on this year on a soul level and looking at how we can expand on it for the new year. This may require some releasing, eliminating, completing, and clearing space so that the dreams you wish to focus on have space to grow and space for new things to come in.
Mercury turned retrograde on the 26 November until the 15th of December. This can be a good time to reflect, reboot, reconnect, redo, or renovate anything needing more attention before speeding ahead. Mercury is in mutual reception to Jupiter when both planets are in retrograde in the opposite sign to what they rule – Jupiter rules Sagittarius and is in Gemini and Mercury rules Gemini and is in Sagittarius.
This is similar to the example I use in my workshops where the arab is in the North Pole and the Eskimo is in the desert.
They are out of their comfortable habitat, but they can call on each other for directions. This stressed energy can feel like you are driving on the wrong side of the road, and you need to pay attention to oncoming traffic by being present to the signs and warnings you may be receiving. Don`t speed. Mars is also slowing down preparing for a retrograde period from the 7th of December until the end of February 2025.
Venus moves into Aquarius on the 7th Dec and conjuncts Pluto which could be an interesting energy to work with regarding anything to do with love, money, and value-related matters.
Neptune turns direct on the 7th Dec after a period of time in retrograde, and the next few months will be about taking the dreams you have been connecting to and finding a way to bring them into action when Neptune moves into Aries next year.
Pluto is now in Aquarius for the long journey, and I can already feel the stirrings of change and the momentum towards focussing on taking things into a new dimension.
On that note, I have finally managed to start the flow of getting my astrology book edited and hopefully on Amazon by 2025, so I am having a fundraiser evening on Wednesday 11 Dec from 18.30 in Kommetjie where I will do my end-of-year Astrology talk on looking at the new year as well as selling my Moon diary I am creating and art prints for those that may want some of my art as gifts for Christmas.
