March is a busy month from a “cosmic energetic “ perspective.
Mars moved direct at the end of February which gave the green light to move forward with things we may have felt stuck in…. but Mars is still in its “fall” in the sign of Cancer, so if you are forcing things to go forward too fast, you may get pushed sideways for a bit as things are” not completely straight forward yet….”
As Mars turned direct, Venus turned retrograde from the beginning of March until the 12th of April. Venus represents the feminine and receptive qualities, it also represents love, money, and other value-related matters, so when Venus is in retrograde, these areas will get challenged or relooked at in some way.

Mercury follows Venus and turns retrograde around the 15th March just after the Full Moon eclipse. Mercury represents communication, computers, and other mechanical devices as well as transport, so these areas can get challenged or relooked at during the retrograde period (15/3 until 7/4).
There is a strong theme (endings and beginnings) this year that is particularly strong right now as the Sun illuminates the last degrees of Pisces connects with the energies of Saturn and Neptune and the Nodes during the Full Moon eclipse on the 14th March and moves onto the 29` Mark on the 19 March and moves into Aries (Equinox) on the 20th March. Other planets that will pass the point of 29` Pisces and 00` Aries are: Venus and Mercury as they retrograde back into Pisces and then re-enter Aries in April. Saturn and Neptune will conjunct and also pass between these points over this year.
Strong contradictory themes are playing out as we try to navigate these uncharted waters. The Nodes and eclipses will be highlighting the imbalance in the areas of Virgo chasing mirages of perfection linked to the material plane, and chasing dreams or escaping reality through superficial means of ungrounded ideals, beliefs or rose coloured glasses where you are not supporting yourself in staying present and doing the hard work to evolve and build on these dreams. This is a powerful theme as Saturn and Neptune work hand in hand right the way through 2025.
Don`t escape from reality into the dream – bring the dream into reality by planting the seed and nurturing and growing it with patience, love, and daily attention.
This full Moon—total eclipse—is in Virgo opposing the Sun in Pisces, highlighting the theme of the real and the surreal. The eclipse won’t be seen in Cape Town, but it will be visible in the Pacific side of the world, such as America, Asia, and parts of Australia.
The phrase that seems to be speaking out very strongly in this Pisces season is: “What is real?” We need to start working more intuitively with our own observation and wisdom to help us recalibrate.
The new chapter of Pluto moving into Aquarius is pushing us to work together as a group, but before we can connect with others, we need to reconnect with ourselves so that we are in our authentic empowered space.
We are definitely in interesting times.
