The last Full (super) Moon had a huge impact on many of us.
For some, it was the chance to tap into the dream quality of Pisces and Neptune, and for others, it brought up a lot of fear – which in itself also has an elusive quality to it as fear is false evidence appearing real.
The blur between real and surreal, between dark and light, and the “no boundary” feeling can create that feeling of overwhelm which can be debilitating as it pulls us off center. The lesson with this energy of Pisces and Virgo is to use the Virgo to find our inner order. The Virgo Sun over that period was reminding us of our earthly duties to stay in the present and anchor ourselves in a way that does not imprison us but gives us the stepping stones and the security to manage this larger-than-life energy we are working with right now.
Remember Eclipses are not just the day of the eclipse, but a period of time which usually pans between 2 weeks or a month as we get a lunar eclipse and then a solar eclipse and sometimes a lunar eclipse again. In that time frame the veil is thin and the shadow energies are extra strong. It is important to protect ourselves and work even more consciously over eclipse periods.
We are now moving towards the Libra New Moon and the Solar eclipse on the 2nd of October. I will be holding a talk on this on Zoom where we will go deeper into this topic.
New Moons generally push us into the waxing phase where we can focus on starting and growing something. Libra is about balance, relating, justice, connecting and weighing things up. With the nodes being in Aries and Libra , the theme is about the relationship with self and the relationship with others – our needs and our obligations, the I and the WE and it feels quite appropriate to be doing this shadow work now just before Pluto moves into the group related sign of Aquarius. This eclipse will highlight the imbalances and bring them to light. It will highlight the war to help us find solutions as a group to move towards a more peaceful approach. Venus (in detriment in Scorpio) will be in an opposition to Uranus in Taurus around mid October which emphasizes the imbalances linked to security and money and other value and control-based situations. At the end of the month Mars (in its fall in Cancer) will be in opposition to Pluto which could be the popping of the pimple, the exposure, and the release of heavily built-up tension.
